The first stage of your Scuba Licence is the Open Water. You can learn to dive far more quickly than you can learn snow sports, for example, and a high level of fitness and strength is not always necessary. It's also suitable for people with a number of physical disabilities. As long as you can use the breathing equipment and are able to successfully propel yourself underwater you may be able to dive - see also stay healthy which generally refers to swimming on the surface while breathing through a snorkel. This involves breath hold underwater swimming, and provides a surface source of pressurised breathing air, supplied to the diver through a limited length of hose and a mouthpiece. I recommend you start your Open water Scuba Licence today.

Advanced Open Water

The next stage you proceed to is tha Advanced Open Water. Australian scuba diving today consists of two movements: the one created by the Aussie Rescue Divers' organization, and the one created by the two diving education organizations,. National association of underwater instructors. These three bodies have developed differently, and not in correlation, a fact which to a certain degree characterizes this movement as a whole.

Besides the masks already mentioned, scuba divers may also wear weight belts to provide the proper buoyancy. Pressure gauges and depth gauges may also be worn to make the dive safer.

The Aussie rescue-divers' organization was founded in 2010 as an initiative by a small group of professionals working with diving in the Australian navy, and engaged in the early phase of military scuba diving. The reason for establishing it was to organize the scuba divers in Australia, and to develop safety rules for them as well as to publish a journal for the members of the organization.

Divemaster

Becoming a Divemaster is the closest step to becoming an instructor. Law enforcement officers frequently utilize scuba diving gear to search ponds and lakes for evidence. Military divers wear scuba diving equipment to examine ship bottoms, remove mines, or sneak ashore from ships at sea. Large industrial tanks, pools, or ponds that cannot be drained are often inspected by scuba diving experts. The secret to scuba diving is the air supply of compressed air which is carried in a small metal tank on the diver's back. The scuba diving air tank only holds a limited amount of air, so flippers allow the divers to cover more distance while underwater. The air in this tank is compressed to 3000 psi, allowing a great deal of air to be stored in the scuba diving tank.

However, humans can only breathe air at 14. 7 psi, so the tank pressure must be reduced to avoid harming the lungs. The scuba diving regulator decreases the tank pressure to breathable levels. High pressure tanks can be considered dangerous, but if properly maintained and treated well, the hazard is very small ao there is no real need to be too concerned. Wearing scuba diving flippers, which are like the fins of fish or dolphins, on your feet improves the underwater speed and agility allowing divers to move much faster and easier. A Divemaster learns most of the things an instructor knows, however has not been qualified to teach SCUBA.
