Open Water Scuba Diver
The first stage of your Scuba Licence is the Open Water. You can learn to dive far more quickly than you can learn snow sports, for example, and a high level of fitness and strength is not always necessary. It's also suitable for people with a number of physical disabilities. As long as you can use the breathing equipment and are able to successfully propel yourself underwater you may be able to dive - see also stay healthy which generally refers to swimming on the surface while breathing through a snorkel. The Advanced course is really a refresher with a few extra things like boat dive, navigation etc. Most importantly it makes sure you actually did learn your Open Water properly; while providing valuable experience.
Rescue Diver
This is a very good course that comes highly recommended. It is only when you have done Rescue diver that you really start to become confident in the water.
